Homework

Homework is a time for children to practice independently what they have learned at school.  Please help your child find a quiet place to do their homework. In addition to assigned homework, children should be reading every night for 10  minutes.

A homework packet for the week is sent home on Monday in a blue Lyndale Take Home Folder.  Students may work on the homework all week and return it signed by parents/guardians on Friday.

*Please make sure that your child is reading every night at home for at least 10 minutes.  Record minutes read and books read on the Lyndale Reading Log.

  • Monday:  Working with High Frequency Words

Weekly Reports and Newsletters:

Weekly Reports are sent home on Friday.  The Weekly Report gives a summary of your child's week at school: class work, homework, attendance, behavior, reading scores, and math information.

Newsletters are sent home on Friday.  The Newsletter highlights what we learned during the week, upcoming events and reminders.
