The Pleasant Pathway starts this Friday, September 22
Monday, September 18, 2017 9:00 PM

We are excited to announce that again this year all children on the regular education buses will be joining the Lyndale Walking Bus route on Fridays along the Pleasant Pathway. The Pleasant Pathway is an opportunity for Lyndale students to wake up their brains by walking to school!

Starting this Friday, September 22, all regular education buses will drop students off at 38th and Pleasant, where they will be met by Lyndale staff. From there, students and staff will walk the four blocks together into school. The Pleasant Pathway will run Fridays until Thanksgiving Break and will resume in the spring. Student safety is our number one priority at Lyndale - if weather conditions are of concern, the Pleasant Pathway will be cancelled for the day.

All Lyndale students participate in the Pleasant Pathway. If you do not want your child to participate in the Pleasant Pathway, please call Lyndale School at 612-668-4000.

Parent volunteers are welcome and appreciated on the Pleasant Pathway - please contact Assistant Principal Hunter for details at 612-668-4017 or

Submit an Application for Education Benefits
Wednesday, September 06, 2017 1:20 PM

Did you know that Lyndale is participating in the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) program this school year? CEP schools provide school breakfasts and lunches to ALL students at NO CHARGE while they are enrolled in a CEP school during the 2017-18 school year!

We'd like to remind all Lyndale families to submit an Application for Education Benefits (formerly known as the Free and Reduced Lunch form). All families in the district -- even those with students enrolled at CEP schools -- are asked to complete this form, regardless of income or eligibility. The information gathered has an impact on our school budget.

Forms must be completed by December 1. You can complete the form online through your SchoolCafe account: Paper applications will also be sent in the mail. You can find more information here: Minneapolis Public Schools Application for Educational Benefits.

Please contact the school if you have any questions. Thanks!
