Fun outdoor volunteer opportunity!

Volunteers are needed to help with the 4th/5th grade biking unit May 29th - June 8th. The times are 8:30 - 9:45 and 9:45-10:45 roughly. Volunteers help get the bikes on and off the trailer, help students get helmets on, help students find the right size bike, help beginners with biking skills, and possibly go on a bike ride off school campus. Lyndale School Playground

There will be music, snacks & light refreshments, and fun! Celebrate and socialize with the Lyndale School Community and see the Hands Across Lyndale art installation on the playground. Everyone is welcome.

Students are celebrating the award with activities during the school day, including learning fun facts about the history of Lyndale, creating classroom time capsules, and participating in the Hands Across Lyndale art installation.

There will be an all-school photo on Monday, May 21 -- students, remember to wear Lyndale blue!

Walk or Bike to School on Friday May 11

Lyndale Community School will celebrate Walk or Bike to School Day on Friday, May 11!

The Pleasant Pathway will run as usual - regular education buses will drop students at the corner of 38th and Pleasant, where they will be met by Lyndale staff and walk together down Pleasant Avenue into school. Parents and children who don't take the bus can also join the Pleasant Pathway.

Learning with Trees Events Saturday 4/28 & Monday 4/30

Learning with Trees program events are almost here - join us for Landscape Site Prep Day on Saturday, April 28, and Tree Planting Day & Celebration on Monday, April 30. All are welcome! We're still in need of clean ice cream buckets, one gallon milk or water containers, or any disposable pails that can be used for moving mulch and water for the new trees next Monday. Please drop clean containers off in with teachers or in the school office.

Landscape Site Prep Day

Bring gloves and rakes. Any time commitment is welcome.

Tree Planting Day & Celebration

9am - 2pm planting; 2pm celebration

The Pleasant Pathway resumes April 27

The Pleasant Pathway is back! Every Friday from now through the end of the school year, regular education school buses will drop students at the corner of 38th and Pleasant, where they will be met by Lyndale staff. From there, students and staff will walk the four blocks together down Pleasant Avenue to school.

Can you volunteer to walk with students and staff? Parent volunteers would be greatly appreciated! Please contact Ms. Hunter if you have questions or need more information. Thanks!
