Welcome to room 136!

I am very excited to begin the new school year! I love teaching first grade, there is always so much to do! In my classroom we will be working on being independent thinkers. We will connect what we do in class to our everyday lives through what we read and how we explore numbers in math class. We will also work on becoming expert readers and writers. Your students will read many new and wonderful books this year. That's not all! Through our Core Knowledge studies we will be exploring a wide variety of cultures and ways of life so that we can become knowledgeable citizens and broaden our world view.
