Rope Power

For decades, the Minneapolis Public Schools has hosted a citywide night of jump roping performances, stunts and double-under contests for elementary schools. Lyndale students - typically third-fifth graders - who are able to perform specific jumps as part of physical education class are invited to participate (and dedicate individual and group practice time). The children perform routines to popular music. Date and time are subject to change but Rope Power is usually in mid-March at one of the district high schools and starts around 6:30 pm.
