Dear families of Lyndale School,
 
It is my pleasure to announce Ms. Sarah Hunter as the new assistant principal of Lyndale School, effective July 1st, 2017. Ms. Hunter began her career in Mounds View Public Schools. She then transitioned to Anchorage, Alaska to teach mathematics at the middle grades. After four years in Alaska, she returned to Minnesota and accepted an Elementary Math Specialist position in Minneapolis Public Schools. She has spent the last year at the District Office in Teaching and Learning as the District Elementary Math Lead.  
 
Ms. Hunter obtained her Bachelors and Master’s Degrees in Elementary Education at the University of Minnesota. She has recently completed her Education Specialist Degree and K-12 Principal Licensure from the University of St. Thomas.  
 
When asked about Lyndale School Ms. Hunter replied that she is very excited to support a wonderful group of students, to join a strong staff and be engaged with the community.
