About Mrs. Olson

You can feel comfortable that you are leaving your child in good hands. I started teaching in 1989. I have been teaching kindergarten at Lyndale School since 1998. I graduated with a B.A. in Elementary Education from the College of St. Benedict / St. Johns University. Later, I received my masters degree from St. Thomas University. Currently I am working on my doctorate in education.

Throughout the years I have earned a variety of awards and recognitions. They include: Teacher of Distinction (Association for Childhood Education - 2002), Beat The Odds Teacher (Minneapolis Public Schools-2006), and Teacher of the Week (KS95 - 2011).

My husband, Kevin, and I have three children: Kaleb, Nate, Abby Mae. For the past year and a half we have hosted our exchange student named Theo. Theo comes to us from S. Korea. We also have a little dog named Mayzie. They are as much of a joy in the evenings as your children are during the school day.

I look forward to each new day I am able to spend with your little ones.
