Welcome to 5th grade with Ms. McKeegan
My name is Colleen McKeegan and I teach 5th grade in room 236 at Lyndale School. I started teaching in 2009 and have taught both 3rd grade and 5th grade. I have also worked as a behavior specialist. I have been teaching 5th grade at Lyndale since 2014. I received my licensure in education K-8 with a concentration in Social Studies from Augsburg College.
I have done a fair amount of traveling and feel my experiences have taught me a lot. I try to bring that same concept into the classroom.
A few fun Lyndale connections...
- I taught Lyndale students how to swim, once a week, when I worked as a swim instructor at the Blaisdell YMCA in the 1990s.
- My cousin went to Lyndale School (in the current building at 34th St. & Grand Ave.).
- My father went to the original Lyndale School (at 34th St. & Lyndale Ave.).
