Welcome to 1st Grade with Mrs. Dye-Thompson
My name is Mrs. Dye-Thompson and I teach first grade in Room 130. I have been teaching since 1998 when I joined Lyndale School. I taught second grade for three years, and have been teaching first grade since 2001.
I graduated from the University of Minnesota with a B.S. degree in Family Social Science. I received my teaching license, Master of Arts in Teaching, Education Specialists degree (Ed.S) and a principal’s license all from the University of St. Thomas.
I believe that all children can learn, grow, and achieve when they are given instruction and social emotional support that meets their individual needs. Building relationships with my students and families, and creating a warm, welcoming environment are key for me. I can’t wait to see all the growth that will happen this year with my students!
I live in Minneapolis with my husband, 2 children, and my dog Coco. I enjoy reading, shopping, bowling, genealogy research, and being with my family.
